About

The Accidental Tech Boss

A media brand built for the leaders who found themselves in charge of technology without a roadmap.

The author

Mihai Strusievici

25 years in technology leadership across industries. Founder of Axsion Digital Evolution. Creator of the Scrappy to Leading™ framework. Mihai has spent two decades advising SMB leaders on technology strategy — and noticed that most of the advice they were getting was designed for enterprises ten times their size.

The Accidental Tech Boss is his attempt to fix that: honest, practical content written specifically for the leaders who are making these decisions with limited time, limited budget, and no CTO to call.

Why this exists

The Accidental Tech Boss started as a newsletter — a twice-monthly dispatch for SMB leaders who kept showing up to the same conversations with the same frustrated questions. Why does technology advice never account for our size? Why does every framework assume we have a VP of Engineering? Why is the only honest answer always "it depends" — and nobody will tell you what it depends on?

The brand grew from there: a podcast, a framework, and eventually a book. All of it built around the same premise — that SMB leaders deserve practical, stage-appropriate technology guidance, written for where they actually are.
